WHAT WE DO

The speakers who are in town for the Philly ETE meeting on the evening of TUESDAY 04/18 meet with us at 6pm. You do not need to attend the conference to participate. You do not need to RSVP here to attend. You can just show up.

WHO WE HAVE CONFIRMED

Michael Feathers, author of the iconic Agile book I live by, Working Effectively with Legacy Code

Andrea Goulet, modern thinker and author of many articles on the topic of "Makers and Menders" and "Forget Technical Debt, Build Technical Wealth" and "Empathy Driven Development"

To get familiar with her work, start with

FORMAT OF THE NIGHT
A POWWOW with the PUNDITS

We will use the RSVP headcount for the Girl Scout cookie count . . . yummmm

As in prior years, AgilePhilly meets the TUESDAY EVENING smack in the middle of the Philly ETE conference at the Sheraton Olde City on 2nd street. We converse with the speakers who come to town to speak on the Agile track of the conference.

Same as last year when we had a free-form discussion. We generally start at 6:00 PM in a meeting room at Old City Sheraton where the Philly ETE Conference is held - look for signs to point to the room.

Late arrivals are welcome to come and jump in anytime.

I usually sneak in a plate of cookies

We generally only get about 10 to 12 people to show up, but this committed core of people drive the subject of conversation and we keep it informal with just chairs-in-a-circle format.

We stop at 7:30 so speakers can get dinner, or re-convene in the bar or the restaurant.

When Andre did it, he would often propose a topic, but I just let the conversation happen.

So just show up when you can, and bring a question or two, and be prepared to learn something new.

THANKS

Our thanks to Chariot Solutions for offering the meeting space for this meeting. No food is available for this meeting, but we hope you will join us afterwards at the bar or restaurant.

LOCATION and DIRECTIONS

To get to the location - I take the subway to 2nd and Market and walk south 3 blocks.

For drivers, there is valet parking at the hotel and parking lots nearby.
