Project Manager with a strong Agile background

Leadnomics is currently looking to hire a Project Manager with a strong Agile background and past experience managing technology projects and products to join the development team.  In this position, the Project Manager will assume full ownership of the lead generation platform and service.  This will involve managing rollouts of new platforms, technologies, and projects.  The bulk of your responsibility will include distributing work efficiently among the team, guiding daily stand-up meetings, tracking development sprints using Agile Methodology, and properly managing and communicating the expectations of the business end of the company.  It will also involve working with the Development Lead to oversee a small team (5-7) of developers and will require getting your hands-dirty with architectural discussions, setting project deadlines, dictating sprint cycles and making sure releases happen on time and on budget.

Qualifications/Experience: 

Required:

• 2+ years of Project or Product Management experience in a fast-paced, Agile, Open-Source development environment.
• Past industry experience working for on-line marketing, digitial media, or web-based software development companies.
• Experience overseeing a team of 4 or more developers
• Understanding the basics of working in UNIX-like environments

Desired:

• Understanding of modern MySQL, using prepared queries
• The basic concepts behind popular NoSQL solutions, and what MapReduce is.
• Knowledge of design patterns including MVC, Adapter, Singleton, and Factory
• Experience with some popular PHP MVC framework.

AGILE PROJECT MANAGER

Relay Network LLC, a VC-funded technology start-up located outside of Philadelphia PA, is seeking a highly talented Project Manager (PM) to join its agile team. Candidates must be intellectually curious, self-driven problem-solvers, who have excellent project management skills and experience managing agile development projects in a start up environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The PM will work extremely closely with the Engineering and Product teams to ensure Relay delivers the highest quality products, features and functionality in a timely and efficient manner. Responsibilities include:

• Develop and manage detailed project schedules
• Identify risks in project schedules and communicate them to stakeholders
• Work with the Product Manager to define tasks (write the "stories")
• Work with the Engineering tech team to plan development work
• Work with QA team to capture, define and prioritize work
• Organize and lead sprint meetings and allocate tasks
• Ensure quality of deliverables.
• Compile project statistics and reports
• Keep all interested parties up to date on progress

QUALIFICATIONS

• 3+ years’ of project management experience
• 2+ years' of experience working in an Agile environment
• Experience with technical planning, specification work, software releases and QA
• Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
• Great people management and motivation skills
• Strong analytical skills (Ability to actively listen and proactively question)
