Event Description

The topic dovetails nicely with the February 20th Meeting on

Fixed Price Agile Contracts, part of our IMPACTS and OUTCOMES series.

Large entities like Governments and heavily Regulated Industries like Pharma and Insurance must grapple with Vendors and Internal Overseers that prefer "Fixing" Price and Scope.

Brian Campo from SABRE Systems will be presenting

"Why Agile is so hard for the government (and what we can do to help) "

Abstract: Many government agencies struggle with Agile adoption for software systems.  The reasons can be many but usually come down to a few fundamentals of how the government sets its long term objectives and how it performs its day to day operations.

Join us as we dig into them and learn how you can work with your government customers and stakeholders to overcome these constraints and still be successful in developing software in an Agile way.

Other Notes seen on the Calendar:

Meeting Location

865 Easton Road, Suite 300,

Warrington, PA 18976

A 12 minute drive from the PA Turnpike.

Directions to Sabre Systems Headquarters:

Google Maps is better than Bing. It shows exactly where the meeting will be held.

The meeting is at Sabre Systems which is located behind Bertucci’s and TruMark Financial Credit Union.

Take Right Turn Lane on Easton road.  Do not go into the first parking Lot for Bertucci’s Restaurant.

Instead, continue straight to Sabre Systems behind the restaurant. Look for signage for Sabre Systems Bldg, which is the same bldg as AAA.

Go 3rd floor.

    • 7:00-8:20 Main Topic/Speaker
    • 8:20-8:30 Q & A , Pack-Up, More Networking

    • 6:30-8:20pm: AgilePhilly meeting (concurrent with other groups' meetings)
    • 8:20-9pm: Networking with everyone
  • Our AgilePhilly events are those with the Liberty Bell Logo.  And center-city-downtown is the logo of Big Buildings - APCD But we often cross-post other User Group events in the Philadelphia, Bucks County and Jersey area. . . PB&J . . . and others, so tell us of your event to list here alongside ours.
  • We are always on the lookout for new ideas and new topics to energize our discussions.

Our attempt with the group is to provide an environment where you can exchange ideas and meet with individuals involved in agile community.
