Death by Team Room, or Teamroom-Acide

Agile teams are often co-located with all team members sitting in one physical room. The rooms are often spacious, with ample natural light, an effective layout, nearby private space, etc., and, as a result, productivity is high. But, there is an anti-pattern; productivity-robbing team rooms that please no one, except perhaps, for cost accountants. To find out more,…See More

John E. Mullaney commented on David Bulkin's blog post 'The Almost Daily Sit-Downs'
Its easy for a peer to say "Let's take it off line" when they aren't interested in more than a snippet of what their co-worker is reporting. But what about when its the Team Lead/Manager that starts to ramble. I've seen a…

D. André Dhondt commented on David Bulkin's blog post 'The Almost Daily Sit-Downs'
I love the terminology! I find that teams constantly regress to detailed discussions on their feet, and though we take turns suggesting we take it off-line, we're not always disciplined enough to say who will sit when.
