So for the Brits, we shall remind them that, besides King George III, there was also . . .

Joshua Abraham Norton (February 4, 1818 – January 8, 1880), known as Emperor Norton, was a citizen of San Francisco, California, who in 1859 proclaimed himself "Norton I, Emperor of the United States".

As always, this falls on the anniversary of the Bombardment at Ft. Mifflin, where during the siege, four hundred American soldiers held off more than two thousand British troops and 250 ships until November 10, 1777

so celebrate Siege Weekend at Fort Mifflin. $10 for the day http://www.fortmifflin.us/event/siege-weekend

and culminate the weekend with the Battle of the Cheesesteaks at 9th & Wharton & Passyunk. ( Our motto: Yo Redcoats and Brits, Us in Philly shall never forgits. )
