Event Description

Confirmed - - and note the NEW TIME - - 7:00 PM

As part of the Phillyl ETE conference, we piggy-back with the speakers that come in from the west coast to be part of the AgileTrack at the Philly ETE conference.

Tuesday April 22nd at 7:00 PM < Note the time change, or show up early >>>

Our April meeting is downtown at the Sheraton Society Hill, 2nd and Walnut.  Our own Tracey W.R. has arranged a true round – table discussion with two Agile Experts in town for the Philly Emerging Tech for the Enterprise . . .

In a repeat of April 2011, Linda Rising has again offered to join us – and Jim Benson too, who was also a speaker at AgilePhilly in April 2011.

This is a great chance to meet them again.

These agile experts are here to talk to you. . .

And for those who don’t know them, Linda Rising is a star of Metrics, Patterns and Changing Stuff.

And Jim Benson is an expert of Lean and Kanban.

( Note Jim Benson who was originally scheduled was replaced with Diana Larsen. )

Use the AgilePhilly Webpage to post some questions to start off the evening.

And RSVP so we have a headcount of who is coming

Note that Diana Larsen, not Jim Benson who was with Linda Rising, and helped lead this AgilePhilly April roundtable meeting downtown.  And she gave a keynote talk at Agile 2014.  Her one hour talk “The Best Job Ever” in Orlando is free to everyone and can be seen at http://www.agilealliance.org/resources/learning-center/keynote-best...

For other free talks  http://www.agilealliance.org/resources/learning-center/

For the 4/22 meeting for Jim Benson, Jeff Knupp wrote that agile and Dev Ops are hurting developers (see link below).

His beef seems to be primarily with Dev Ops, but he implies that agile encourages developers seems to an IT Jack of all trades.  Also, I think agile can discourage focused thinking because devs feel the need to make measurable progress for the stand up.

Please comment in the context of your "Why can't Johnny code?"
