AgileTour 2013

The Agile Tour is an annual multi-city, multi-country event to tell the world about Agile practices in software development. 

And to assist our colleagues and local businesses in their adoption of Agile.
 

Monday Afternoon, Oct 7th at EbayEnterprise (previously known as GSI Commerce) in King of Prussia.

4 different tracks in the first hour, another 4 tracks in the second hour, and a panel discussion of experts in the main hall in between. 

 

Sign up for Sessions Speakers and Practitioners Who Will Take the Stage:
12:40 to 1:10 pm - finger food laid out, perhaps in one of the training rooms

1:10 to 2:10 pm - choice of 4 tracks

  • Simulation - Daniel Vacanti, Corporate Kanban .com = Part 1 Kanban (cafeteria)
  • Simulation - Andre Dhondt, Dhondt Teams Gel = The Snowflake Exercise (cafeteria)
  • Startup Track – David Bulkin, LitheSpeed = Introduction to the use of ATDD/BDD and HDD to Drive Business Results
  • Core Value Track – Damon Poole, Eliassen = Splitting User Stories

2:10 to 2:20 pm - mingle time

2:20 to 3:20 pm - Panel of Experts in the main meeting room (cafeteria)

3:20 to 3:35 pm - mingle time

3:35 to 4:35 pm - choice of 4 tracks

  • Simulation - Daniel Vacanti, Corporate Kanban .com = Part 2 Kanban (cafeteria)
  • OpenSpace Fishbowl - continuing discussions about Management Problems of Agile (cafeteria)
  • Startup Track - Stephen Frein , Comcast Dir of QA, Drexel Univ = 5 misconceptions about Agile
  • Core Value Track - Thomas Cagley, David Consulting = When Good Numbers Go Bad

 

The Open Space Topics for a Fishbowl discussion will be chosen by the attendees that afternoon , to continue the discussion of management problems that surface from the panel of experts, making for a dynamic and interesting afternoon.

At AgilePhilly, we have been Promoting Agile Ideas since 1776

Meetings are monthly. Get meeting reminders by joining here.  

  • Our events are Free, and Evening Meetings in the Western Suburbs are usually on the Third Tuesday and  usually begin at 6:30 pm.  A sample agenda would be:
    • 6:30-7:00 pm: Eat & Greet & Network
    • 7:00-8:20 Main Topic/Speaker
    • 8:20-8:30 Q & A , Pack-Up, More Networking
  • When we meet in Center City, our timeline may adjust (there's a $5 evening rate for Parking near the Municipal Services Building, at 15th & Vine):
    • 6-6:30pm: Eat & Greet with members of multiple usergroups
    • 6:30-8:20pm: AgilePhilly meeting (concurrent with other groups' meetings)
    • 8:20-9pm: Networking with everyone
  • Our AgilePhilly events are those with the Liberty Bell Logo.  And center-city-downtown is the logo of Big Buildings - APCD But we often cross-post other User Group events in the Philadelphia, Bucks County and Jersey area. . . PB&J . . . and others, so tell us of your event to list here alongside ours.
  • We are always on the lookout for new ideas and new topics to energize our discussions.

Our attempt with the group is to provide an environment where you can exchange ideas and meet with individuals involved in agile community.
