The Blob continues to draw fans into the local area for many reasons:

The Colonial Movie Theatre in Phoenixville where one famous scene was shot is now a Not-For-Profit Entertainment Centre - now that the organization had acquired the Bank Building next door and has converted it to theater space.  https://thecolonialtheatre.com

July 4th weekend at the Colonial Theatre is a film festival which includes bringing back the geleatinous Blob material for kids to play with, a tinfoil hat contest, and the annual recreation of the running out of the movie theater - which due to the bright lights of the local news outlets covering the event - blind participants and cause multiple injuries on the city sidewalk.

Colonial Theatre, 227 Bridge Street, center of town, Phoenixville.

Down the street is the Steel Blues Coffee House.

The BLOB Diner in nearby Downingtown is a local favorite.  Business Rte 30 and Viaduct Avenue, Downingtown

The film was edited in nearby Yellow Springs Rte 113.  The Yellow Springs Summer Art Festival is a local event.

STEVE, WHAT ABOUT THE LITTLE DOG?  STEVE !
