Event Description

5/17/16 UPDATE:  We are less than a week away from this event.  With only 4 RSVP's and Memorial day right around the corner we're going to reschedule for the fall.  Look for this event to be re-added to the schedule for later this year.

Speaker Brian Barr

There is so much chatter about DevOps these days, but so little clarity about what it really means. Brian Barr, CEO of AgileTrailblazers will give you the outline so that you can write the “Story of DevOps” at your organization to make DevOps wildly impactful to your business results. The outline of any great story includes the Setting, Theme, Characters, Point of View, Plot, Conflict, and Resolution. We will also provide some alternate plots where we have seen DevOps go off the rails and help you avoid these surprise endings.

Prerequisite Knowledge:

  • General familiarity or experience with agility is sufficient.

Learning Outcomes:

  • Understanding of DevOps and what it means
  • Understanding of an end state for a successful DevOps implementation
  • Understanding of the people, process and technologies that make for a successful DevOps story
  • Understanding of pitfalls to avoid when implementing DevOps
  • A roadmap (i.e., Plot) for implementing DevOps at your organization

Food Sponsor:  OPEN.  We are open to Food Sponsors for this event.

Location:  University of the Sciences

Parking:

Park in the main campus lot (Turn south on either 43rd or 45th from Woodland and follow the access road around to the back). The building [red circle] is located diagonally opposite the south-west corner of the parking lot [blue circle].
