How Shift Left / Test Transformation fits in Agile Delivery: A Case Study in Automated Testing


Join Klaudia Breslavets and Allegra Cooper from Vanguard to learn about how a large organization approached Test Automation Transformation or “Shifting Left” enterprise-wide and how this fits into Agile value delivery framework.

From this discussion and presentation, you will gain:

  • A glimpse into Vanguard’s Agile Transformation journey,
  • How and why Shifting Left and Test Transformation is important to Agile delivery,
  • How we structured the Test Transformation program in order to assist Agile teams with the people, process and technology transformation.

We’ll all share our experiences and get to dive deeper based on what we as the audience are interested in.

This talk is great for hands-on people and those leaders interested in lessons learned or case study format for ideas about how to approach and implement enterprise-wide change management, process, technical tool implementation in test automation space.

Things to be learned: Factors in delivering value. In particular, concentrating on topics related to how Automated Testing fits well in an agile value delivery framework.

Presenters:

Allegra Cooper is an Enterprise Automation Engineer at Vanguard, helping drive an enterprise wide change towards continuous delivery. Allegra’s experience on various projects allows her to provide guidance in developing the most appropriate tool and framework for each application.

She is passionate about process automation, continuous integration, and continuous delivery. Allegra has a background in Mathematics and Computer Science, enjoys coaching others in code quality and sustainable automation, to transform the development and testing processes in order to reach an IT organizational transformation.

Klaudia Breslavets is currently an IT Project Manager and Scrum Master for the Test Transformation Program Team at Vanguard. She’s held a variety of roles in the past such as release lead, developer, tester and systems analyst.

Klaudia is a culinary enthusiast and spends time traveling when she’s not helping her organization “Shift Left”.

The address is actually the Service Road between the two buildings.  That is the most direct way to get back to the parking garage.

The address is 51 and not 55. At Cerner and the entrance is in the back under the elevated parking lot.
