Scaling Agile Projects

Topic

Customizing Agile for Large Projects: Agile methods (Scrum, eXtreme Programming, Crystal, Feature Driven Development, etc.) have been moving into the mainstream over the past few years. Industry leaders like Yahoo, Google, Travelocity, and Capital One have proven that, implemented appropriately, agile accelerates project delivery times, increases customer and employee satisfaction, and provides flexibility to changes in business requirements.

Forrester Research reports that 14 percent of North American and European "early adopter" enterprises are already using agile, and a second wave of adoption involving another 19 percent is underway with corporate IT enterprises leading the way. To be successful, large corporate IT groups have adapted agile for larger project teams and today's distributed development environments.

On Oct 3rd 2006, Sanjiv Augustine will present some of the essential techniques necessary to customize agile for large project teams. Learn how large agile project teams are organized, and how work is divided, coordinated and tracked among them.
