Event Description

Tracey Welson-Rossman is our speaker

on WEDNESDAY Dec 11

WAS CANCELLED due to lack of interest

Tracey as the Marketing Director for Chariot Solutions is just her day job. Her passion led her to create the non-profit TechGirlz in 2010 which we at AgilePhilly have long promoted.

Now her "Business Model" of a local Non-Profit has evolved enough to be a take-over / acquisition target.

WHAT ?

Join us as we get an inside look at what the Philadelphia market has become, and how you as a technology person who may work on open source and other volunteer activities should see our Philadelphia.

HEADLINE: TechGirlz will stay in Philly, only now as part of Chicago-based charity Creating IT Futures. And here's why CEO Tracey Welson-Rossman sees this as a win for the organization's cause.

Questions for our Interview:

After 9 months you have time to absorb the change and can reflect on how your role has changed ( or not ) – and how your outreach has changed ( or not ) – and other concerns.

This can be good for AgilePhilly to consider, too as AgilePhilly members can discuss what kind of organization they want to see when their “Benevolent Dictator” finally steps down. We all know that the cold hand of Susession-Planning / Retirement always beckons at the end of our journey of learning.

We will ask her not just about the business model that TechGirlz evolved, but also how the Business Model of Chariot Solutions has kept pace with a changing Tech environment.

This event is part of our annual Giving Back to the Community events that come every Christmas / December
