Long time Agile Philly member Tom Gradel had " some pre-PhD research on Agile of some Scott Ambler survey data.  Tom is ready to release another survey and subsequent analysis to corroborate some findings from that and other studies.

Tom looked at the data that Scott has up on his website http://www.ambysoft.com/surveys/

It was a great chance for us at AgilePhilly to get insight to directions for the Agile industry as a whole.

Tom presented a model for interaction of Agile processes that affect project success. We learned about the parts of Agile that are effective, and how the various different techniques create synergies to contribute to successful projects. The critical factors that affect Agile were summarized and a modern theoretical model was presented.

Presenter

Tom Gradel is a PhD candidate at Temple University, CSM, and leader of several transitions to Agile.  Tom is currently Software Engineering and Product Manager at Guiding Technologies, a Philadelphia based startup focused on providing instructional software for those teaching Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) to children with autism and was worked to improve memory for our soldiers with TBI (traumatic brain injury). He also spent more than 6 years as development manager of medical devices at Olympus Medical exploring use of Agile in an FDA regulated environment.
