Productive partnerships are key to effective software craftsmanship, but when do they begin? Though it’s tempting to say that those relationships begin on your first day of employment, they really should begin during your job hunt.
Pam Selle will talk about flipping the typical approach to job hunting on its head. Instead of brute-forcing your way through job postings, you should approach job hunting like a system where listening, refining small parts of the process, and building relationships produce targeted results.
She will detail how the job hunt is really about a mutual decision to continue the productive partnership created during the job interview process.
Pam Selle is well known in Philly as a software engineer, published author, and public speaker.
She’s also author of Beyond the Resume: How to get your next job as a developer (currently in alpha) and co-author of Choosing a JavaScript Framework, writes often on her blog, The Webivore, and podcasts with Turing-Incomplete.
