Event Description

Bob Dylan, known as America's Troubadour, was born on May 24, 1941.

He is a favorite of many generations, ranking with the Beach Boys and the Bee-Gees in this regard.  He is also a recipient of a Nobel Prize for Literature in October 2016, and the first American since novelist Toni Morrison in 1993.

Born Robert Zimmerman, in 1961 he disputed that he used the name of poet Dylan Thomas for his stage name.
