Event Description

Tues Sept 10th

 - - Testing for Agility: Bringing Testing into Everything - -

Camille demonstrates how a testing focus can drive agility in every aspect of software development.

Topics include: the cost of waiting to test, how waterfall can be transformed into agility with feedback, how testing can drive requirements discovery, testing during development, testing as part of integration and deployment, testing for customer acceptance, agile ratios of different types of tests, agile testing for bug fixes and maintenance, management concerns for agile testing and code coverage.

Bio: Camille Bell is an independent agile coach with over four decades of wide ranging experience from: ARPANET to social networking; FORTRAN to Ruby on Rails; solo development to teams of hundreds; small startups to Fortune 5 corporations and US Government defense work. If there is an IT job, Camille has almost certainly done it.

As an Agile coach, Camille has stimulated transformation of many teams individually and across government agency-level enterprise.

Camille has an BS in Computer Science from University of Maryland and an MS from Johns Hopkins.

Better Directions . . .

The best way to Vertex is the old standby Chesterbrook Blvd off of Rte 202.
YOU WILL GET OFF BEFORE THE CONSTRUCTION.

Take Rte 202 Southbound.  After ValleyForge Road (Devon) and Rte 252 (Paoli),  Get off  at the Chesterbrook Blvd Exit.

Left at the top of the ramp.  Left at the light on West Swedesford Road Rte 252

Slowly make the sharp Right onto Old Cassatt Road ( it looks like a Driveway )

Left into the Vertex Complex

Please note: No Handicap access. Meeting will be in building 1031 on the second floor, it is an older building with no elevator. An attendee with a physical disability should park on the north side of the building (side closest to Route 202) and then would be aided by fellow attendees up to the second floor. (Identify the 1031 building by its outline - the 2nd floor does not extend as far out as the 1st floor. Vertex will have volunteers to let attendees into the building and escort them up to the meeting room. )

Agile Philly friends - I am sad to report that a family obligation is now conflicting on Tuesday night. This will be such a great event and I'm sorry I won't be able to make it. If anything changes, I'll see you there. If not, see you October 7th! Emily
