Hi Jane,

That is a good question.  I am happy for the chance to explain, and I apologize if I upset you by breaking the protocol for posting events.

I have been working for Andre Dhondt now for 5 months as his Business Development Specialist.  One of my main tasks is organizing the Technically Philly Groups meetings, which happen 4 times a month.

I scheduled a 5th meeting for November featuring Chellie, my money teacher, since I thought that her wisdom about networking well at meetings, attracting more business, and having a positive attitude about money would be relevant to people in the usergroups we serve.

It seems like a significant percentage of the membership of AgilePhilly comprises entrepreneurs, who need to be experts at attracting business!  But Chellie's talk is not just for solo practitioners; it is for anyone who wants to change their relationship with money, which in this economy, might be a lot of folks!

I posted this event in the spirit of offering the opportunity to more people.  However, you are completely correct that it is not an Agile event.  I also can see that the language is a little "salesy."  Please know that no AgilePhilly funds are going towards this meeting; Chellie is doing the talk as a personal favor to me.

I hope that you will attend this event, and again, I welcome the chance for dialogue!  Please call or email me if you would like to talk more about this.

Have a great day!

This doesn't appear to be an agile event. Why is it being advertised here?
