SUMMARY:The Penn State Lunar Lander Team
DESCRIPTION:A team of student engineers at Penn State compete with the
ir own Lunar Lander.\nSince 2011, the Penn State Lunar Lions team has
been pursuing the Google Lunar XPRIZE, the first privately funded miss
ion to the surface of the moon, as the only university-led team in the
competition.\nThe winner of the Grand Prize must land a robotic space
craft on the moon in 2015, and return HD video and pictures back to ea
rth. Successful completion will provide a proof-of-concept for Penn St
ate's model for collaboration between the University, private companie
s, and NASA.\nWith more than 80 students on the team, Penn State is cr
eating not only a model for future missions, but also providing hands-
on experience to the next generation of industry leaders.  Meet the a
mazing student team and their faculty and staff leaders.\nThursday, F
 ebruary 20    7:00 to 8:30 p.m.Great Valley campus, Malvern\nhttp
