 ook at practical steps for involving users in the design process wheth
 er it be a website, mobile app, or multichannel service. We will discu
 ss how to employ tried and true user-centric techniques to inform and 
 evaluate our designs ensuring that what we build we be useful, usable,
  and enjoyable.This presentation will be particularly helpful to stude
 nts, junior user experience practitioners, and designers, developers, 
 project managers, and other interested individuals who wish to introdu
 ce information architecture and user research practices into their org
 anizations.Dave Cooksey is a user experience consultant based in Phila
 delphia. For the past 10 years, he has worked both independently and w
 ith digital agencies providing information architecture and taxonomy s
 ervices to clients in the e-commerce, media, and healthcare industries
 . He is passionate about informing and evaluating design through user 
 research and the power of structured data to drive experiences. He is 
 an active member of the UX community in Philadelphia and has served as
  Chair of PhillyCHI multiple times. He is a member of the Information 
 Architecture Institute and volunteers in organizing the IA Summit. Whe
