 adelphia, it is appropriate that Agile Philly highlight those lesser k
 nown events in the city that are uniquely Philadelphian.\n\nIn that li
 ght, General George G Meade who defeated General Lee at the Battle of
  Gettysburg, is turning 200 years old on Dec 31st, 2015\n\nA grand eve
 nt will be held in his honor at his current residence, with many a cha
 mpagne toast to salute his gallant life and many deeds. Brigantine Lig
 hthouse and Fairmont Park are two examples of his talent and energy kn
 own to us locals.\n\nThis event begins at 11:30 am sharp with a formal
  parade starting at noon, and it will end in the early afternoon (when
  all the champagne is gone. Many of us bring extra to keep things goin
 g.) This party in the afternoon leaves plenty of time for other frivol
 ities later in the evening.\n\n\nWhy Champagne ?\nThe great man did no
 t drink whisky or beer, but only drank champagne when he did drink, so
  we toast him with champagne. Note that Beer will also be available. G
 reat food, drink and company will abound, just for a picture of Lincol
 n ( $5 ) !\n\nBe there early for parking and to see the sights and sou
 nds of true Philadelphians.\n\nNo RSVP is required, but there is a $5 
 admission charge, since quantities of Champagne will be distributed an
 d consumed. There is no charge for those who come in civilian or milit
 ary attire of the Civil War.\n\nThis is bound to be the event of the w

 rvivor of many wounds from many civil war battles including Gettysburg
 . He is the only civil war participant around today which you can look
  eye to eye with. Unfortunately, I hear he will not be attending the c
 eremony because of his current mobility problems.\nOld Baldy still res
 ides here in Philadelphia, and is usually seen dutifully welcoming vis
