SUMMARY:Franklin Institute on Steam
DESCRIPTION:The Baldwin 60000 Locomotive arrived at The Franklin Insti
tute on September 22, 1933. It took five days to move the locomotive f
ive blocks from 24th and Vine Street to the Museum.\r\n\r\nThere are i
conic photos taken during the move as train tracks were laid down on S
pring Garden Street to get the Locomotive to the Franklin Institute.
Although presented as a short term loan, the Locomotive was walled in
and remained to this day.\r\nA revision of the Train Room is planned
 which will take several years.\r\nhttps://www.inquirer.com/arts/frankl
