SUMMARY:a talk about SAFe-ty
DESCRIPTION: Abstract\nAgile has gone mainstream. Many companies hav
e adopted Agile frameworks and practices for different project effor
ts with fantastic results. Yet, for the majority of these efforts, Ag
ile adoption at the enterprise level has been slow primarily due to w
hen and how do you scale Agile adoption.\nHow do you scale past small
teams? At what point does traditional Scrum break? What about alternat
ive frameworks like Kanban? Do we leave engineering practices from eXt
reme Programming behind?\nThis presentation covers the Scaled Agile Fr
amework (SAFe) and explains how the framework not only scales to the e
nterprise level, but also depicts a supporting organizational model th
at works collaboratively for 100’s of people on a single (or multipl
 e) Enterprise initiative(s).\nAgile does scale and SAFe is how to do i
 t.\n \nOur speaker\nKim Werner (yes, he's a guy!) will be telling us
about SAFe Agile Framework. He is a Certified SAFe SPC Program Consult
ant, \nHis BioAgile Community of Practice Lead Practitioner25 years I
T experience in all rolesCSM, CSP , CertifiedSAFe SPC CertifiedAgile P
layer CoachFounder of North Florida RUG.Certified in RUP, OOAD and oth
er Rational ToolsIBM Lead for Agile Transformation Community at IBM's
DeveloperWorks, and in the IBM Jazz mentor programs EPF Content Lead -
Evolutionary Design Plugin for Open UP.\n \nMr Werner is available t
o us by Blue Mercury Consulting (BMC) which is an Agile Services comp
any specializing in enabling our customers to adopt Agile practices an
d deployment throughout the enterprise. Our engagement model focuses o
n organizational change, process adoption, and technology enablement t
hrough a variety of tools that enable the Agile process Frameworks emp
loyed. Unlike other firms, we take a pragmatic adoption approach as op
posed to a cookie cutter purest approach.\n \nIn the audience will be
a couple of people who have been doing SAFe for quite a while, so I
hope to pick their brains during the Q&A. \n\nFor more information vi
